Releaser/Monitor (Kirkwood)

The Monitor/Releaser’s main responsibility is to, document control functions and facilitate logistics that are related to the monitoring and releasing of sterile insects in client’s orchards, such that the company’s targets are met in compliance with its Quality Control Standards. This includes maintaining relevant monitoring /releasing systems and assist in administration of daily operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational control of monitoring & releasing.
  • Accurate record keeping and control of product stock supplies.
  • Quality control of monitoring & releasing as required.
  • Minor repairs & maintenance of monitoring equipment.
  • Following monitoring & releasing procedures & protocols.
  • Responsible for professional Customer interaction.
  • All traps to be serviced as per the protocols.
  • Vehicles, Quads, motorcycles to be kept clean and in working order.
  • Completing daily check-sheets and adhering to the rules and regulations regarding vehicle usage.
  • Adhere to set safety standards and protocols.
  • Liaise with Operational Coordinators with regards to amended monitoring quantities in FCM hotspot areas.
  • Meet monitoring & releasing targets consistently, reliably, and efficiently.
  • Accurate and efficient Data Capturing on Keyphase and other monitoring systems as required.

 

Education & Training:

  • Education: Matric will be preferential.
  • Legal requirements: Code B license, Compulsory – Motorbike license.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Works in an environment that has moderate occupational hazards, both mechanical and biological (allergens).
  • Will need to work extended hours, including weekends when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Physical ability to ride a motorbike and perform operational tasks in the field.
  • Output-driven, practical, and flexible work approach applicable to a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and problem solver.
  • Work independently without supervision.
