Production Controller – XSIT 2 Citrusdal

XSIT has a vacancy for a Production Controller to join the XSIT 2 team at the Citrusdal Facility.

This job overseas production, logistical planning and administration of daily production operations, as well as the supervision of production personnel. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision/Control of production personnel (disciplinary, shifts, leave, attendance etc).
  • Ensuring production targets and all production related tasks are met.
  • Accurate record keeping and checks.
  • Quality control of production, ensuring protocols are strictly followed.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
  • Ensuring production procedures & protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure safety standards and protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • High level of discipline with regards to reporting production, quality, maintenance progress and deviations.
  • High level of discipline with regards to improving and maintaining 5s standards of housekeeping.
  • High level of discipline in Supervision of a team during all shifts.
  • Works in an environment that has moderate occupational hazards, both mechanical and biological (allergens).
  • Will need to work extended hours, including weekends, public holidays, Sunday evenings, etc when necessary.
  • Will need to be on standby for any possible emergencies outside of working hours.
  • General Ad-hoc activities as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Matric
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in production activities.
  • Experience in leading a team will be advantageous.
  • Operations qualification would be an advantage.

 

Characteristics:

  • Strong communications skills (Eng. and Afrikaans).
  • The ability to manage multiple activities.
  • The ability to manage people and have a positive solution-driven attitude.
  • Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Must be performance driven and results orientated.
