Overall Purpose:
The Controller’s main responsibility is to make sure that all processes are performed for maximum output of moths, according to protocols, and that all policies and procedures are adhered to by all employees within their department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with overseeing the daily Production and waste control.
- Daily Quality checks and reporting.
- Communication and feedback to senior supervisors & management.
- Manage 5S and housekeeping.
- Assist with the supervision of staff to ensure that all tasks are performed according to protocols.
- Ensure high levels of cleanliness inside and outside facility are maintained (bio security).
- Assist with HR administration including hours, leave and general discipline.
- Must perform tasks without constant supervision from a supervisor.
- Perform any other ad hoc production tasks as requested by the Co-Ordinator or Manager.
Education & Training:
- Matric or relevant experience in related field.
- Works in an environment that has moderate occupational hazards, both mechanical and biological (allergens).
- Will need to work extended hours, including weekends, public holidays, shifts as well as when necessary.
- Basic Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook) will receive preference.
- Communicate in both English and Afrikaans.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar operational activities.
Characteristics:
- Understanding of specified department systems, regulations, and protocols.
- Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
- The ability to manage people and have a positive solution with a self-drive attitude.
- The ability to train, motivate and understand co-workers.
- Ability to construct and/or interpret data and numbers.
- Performance orientation and meeting standards.
- Data & Quality orientated.
